jealous! jealous!
Oh wait, you may found a better place by then. Who knows?
oh yeah you can feed your love for vitasoy in spore and kl now. on a trip to spore last year i got soooo excited after seeing vitasoy at the supermarket and i carried some home back to kl... only to later find it in jusco ...aih
btw, i'm an kowloon ppl. seldom go to the island side.
had my krispy kreme in mongkok and ben & jerry in tsim tsa tsui.
I only go to causeway bay for my haircuts lol.
Very nice pics~but i found that i seldom take street pictures like that, maybe, cos i live there =.=
P.S: hey sweat remember me? hahahahha. i'm on team suet yahoo. actually la, u going to be at where(uni?) in hk?
corn cob and steak!!! with many many butter
eh u really damn sayang martian right. throw char siew bao. helloooooo.. throw rocks or shit at mean boys okay T_T the nicest i can be is to throw one cent coins only. I only miss yam cha in the morning cos it's really really good food, not like kim gary wtf. and egg tarts from macau :) remember how u use to tell me i can only get reeses pbc from IFC in central? Now carrefour malaysia also got ok. at the exit counter -_-
martian looks sooo....err....goofy...hahahahaha
Ok, you've convinced me - HK's now my next "Must See Before End of 2008" destination... :D
And hahahaha corn joint by steak! And in the last picture, because of the flyers that the corn was holding (never thought I would form this sentence -_-),he looked like he had his tongue stuck out whilst flashing a peace sign, hahaha!
i'll be going to hk in 13 days *excited*
but not sure where to start with when i reach there.
any suggestion? (places, good food *important*)
=D
T________T
super jealous wtf.
*runs away*
a pear... how cuteeee :)
i still emo that a party is more important than me and skyler together
*cue hmph emoticon*
but.
is there any reason martian would have been on a flight from kl to melbourne???
Ai ya very easy to guess one la you are so predictable. Why didn't you bring anything non-perishable for me back ah I anger.
I am going home now bye byeeee -this cut short your comment.
just a very silent reader.
btw, u stay in martian's apartment or hotel for that 4 nights, just wondering! which hotel do u suggest for cheap and good over there? :)
I love your blog btw!
damn. your pictures are making me nostalgic! my aunt used to stay on hollywood street, so i recognise the loooongest escalator in the world (probably) and now she moved to dragon terrace, which is 10 mins walk from causeway bay :P ah i love vitasoy malt soya milk! the park across pacific place is so gorgeous!
where's the world's nicest tau foo far? when i go back there again, i must visit it, although my aunt would probably have moved elsewhere by then -___-. and damn, i missed out on ben and jerrys this time around. damn far to go all the way there just for ice cream hahaha.
oh btw, you and martian should go cycling at the dam near tai po market (mtr station). there's this little stall under a tree along the cycling track that sells uber yummy corned beef sandwiches. perfect with warm vitasoy after a cycling session! the weather when i was there last month wasn't so good though, very hazy and cloudy and full of pollution and VERY COLDDDD. :(
okay too long a comment. sorry overexcited a bit *shy*
Hong Kong and you and Martian - damn sweet and nostalgic and Casablanca-ish ok!
p.s: i also want to know where is the world best taufo far in cwb is. enlighten me su ann.
anyway, I was going to say since you go to Causeway Bay so much, you could just go to World Trade Center behind Sogo :P they have a Honeymoon Dessert place there heh, so you don't have to go all the way to Central
Beside got a auntie sell "gai dan zai" right?
I was there like December something...
Hong Kong is a nice place especially for people like foods like you...
The very first time i went there is 2 years back...
Only go Theme parks, no go shopping...
EEE, I want go again
mrbherng : yes i always tell martian i could totally see myself living in HK :) i plan to. it's the perfect place for me to be.
sweatlee : yaya i forgot to ask you! which university? issit HKU?
corn cob : OMG ITS YOU :D :D :D *HUG
pegsywegsy : vitasoy will always be a hongkong drink for me :D but there are more flavours in singapore right? or maybe i just didnt notice the other flavours in HK..
michael : hahaha your comment damn funny. can you tell me good places to go and eat in kowloon next time!! like THE BEST places! all those dai pai dong. yaya i'm also team suet. hahaha w00t because we never lose. sigh you two are so lucky to get to study in HK :(
abby : yesyes very cute! the steak also!

nyrac : i love that picture too :D even though i was very grumpy when i was taking it. yes you MUST go to hk
jay : how like an american :P
beetrice : oh it is :) it is a severely underrated travel destination. there is a lot more to HK than just the shopping, which is what malaysians seem to go there for
hui wen : HAHAHA NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT
nicholas : yes i just had to! too funny for words!
grace : thank u thank u :)
ee may : ahhh stress. good food is everywhere actually. walk around these places - causeway bay, wan chai, soho/central, TST and you'll find lots and lots of great places to eat. once you have HK dimsum, msia wan cannot compare :) especially the char siew bao. and you must find dan dan meen and try as well. and eat all the streetfood in kowloon and CWB! definitely take a walk around the islands if you can; i went to Lantau and it was really cool to just walk around the village. disneyland is quite boring, but worth a visit just for that one time. i really liked all the markets in kowloon side like the ladies market and all that. lots of quirky stuff for sale. and fortune tellers :D okay very long oredi this comment
alea : why is he cool !!!!!!! :( I'M ALSO COOL :( :(
wenqi : no no the party is not important... but but but errr very difficult to go to penang and back within 2 days :(
ally : no no none at all :P you saw the wrong person!
skyler : skyler yee sing foong you are also predictable /hmph yer i bring you back doughnuts also you complain :( hate you :(
lu : we stayed at a hotel :) his apartment there is no longer his. im afraid i cant help you with the cheap hotels :( i've never stayed in a HK hotel. but try looking up hotels on the kowloon side :) cheaper than HK island.
thegeekinpink : what is ngaiti ! eh pls lah miri is more exotic than hongkong ok!! and... i've never been to miri =( /ashamed
tiff : yes ben and jerry's is the besttttttesetstsetestt. :D
entwined : I ALSO VERY EXCITED omogmgomgogmomg your cycling idea sounds amazing and that yummy corned beef sandwiches too!!! ahhhh!!! ^_______^ i wanna go back to hk now!!!!!! eh your aunt so cool she stayed at hollywood rd! as for the tau foo far, i regret to inform i donno where it is :( but martian knows cos he took me there! i'll ask him to leave a comment here soon
jayne : GASP! let's trade places!!
michellesy : haha yesss all the nostalgia and good memories *swoon
ront : i dunno :( martian took me there wan. i ask him to leave a comment for you ok?
charlie : he went bananas!
michael : EH where is this chi fan thing! please tell me! :D
jayne : actually central is closer to where martian lived! the apartment was at mid levels, so we'd just walk down to central to have the dessert or i'd meet him for lunch cos he works on queens rd. sigh <3 i love hong kong
cent : YES YES hahaha same stall. hong kong is totally my kind of city :) perfect blend of new and old.
martian : okay :) but you still owe me ben and jerrys. i want the brownie flavour!
chee : haha dont tell me you went to ocean park and disneyland. theres so much more to HK than those two places!!
i think i know which one michael is referring to....the shanghainese chi fan thing...i didnt like the chi fan...but i like the soy bean milk and the..oil fried ghost
ront: Ei how come u dont like the chi fan inside the glutionous rice got the yao char guai and pork floss ler. The soy milk damn nice can drink everyday lol.
P.S: su ann ur coming to hk on monthly basis? (I thought i very terrer d back malaysia 3 times a year =.=) Study in hk just so so la. My uni is a sucky one (PolyU = Bad Name U). Maybe can meet you up sometime (random encounter lol) XD
why is it diff to come and go back in 2 days. sometimes i go kl in the morning and leave in the evening itself!
tell me why is it so difficult. just admit it lahh.. the party is more important than us. :(
i wonder what martian works as?
michael : no lah not anymore. i used to be in HK once or twice a month when Martian used to live there, but now that he's in singapore i dont have to wat :) but the next time i make a trip there i will email u! then i got teman while martian works :D
pinkshirtz : hahaha yessss of course
KY : haha! you're the first one to notice!
wenqi : :((((( wenqi dont be angry :((((
emily : thank you! he works as an interplanetary delagate :P
... : the canon ixus 75
P.S: i remembered la. its somewhere near sogo. You like pork floss ahahaha? And theres some "cai bu"(preserved salty veg?) inside, i like it lol.
had fun in HK yeah, did you manage to try the typical authentic Hong Kong dimsums?
But the government is destructing it...
Because there is limited land to live and they are destructing the old building...
Means, HK is going to be like Shanghai in few years...
*sigh*
Come Penang I buy you roti tisu! Faster before I go back!
Ahhhh why can't KL have all these! I guess rendang and nasi lemak are good substitutes haha.
i am not in HK ...am just a visitor planning a 2nd wave
michelle : hello darling :D haha it's ok, i have krispy kreme quite often actually. thank you for your kind offer nevertheless! but you know what i've been craving for 3 years... lygon st gelato :)
johanny : that's because it's GONE and i couldnt find it!!!!!
iamthewitch : i.... have... eaten chau tau foo *shifty eyes* haha longkang water is EXACTLY what it tastes like!!!!!!
michael : okok next time i go to HK you will take me around kowloon. ok?? :D
missycheerio : oh yes all the time :D :D char siew baoooooo~
cent : i sure hope not :( my boyf tells me they're getting stricter with hygiene regulations and that's causing a lot of street markets to turn plasticky and dai pai dongs to close down :(
skyler : i dowan!!!! waffle and your boss will be bad to me.
vvens : hahaha like that also can entice you?! wait till i take pics of REAL hongkong food that doesnt walk around giving out flyers!!!
foreverjas : I WOULD LOVE TO..... :(
martian : thank you baby :)
HK : please lah malaysian food and hongkong food are in two different leagues of their own!!! eh that day i had really really good fish & chips + mash + mushy peas at this place in hk. the owner told me it's not even quite close to the best in the UK. SIGH!!! uk, wait for me!!
ront : i have no idea also... all i remember is that is faces the bridge like he says. though i woulda walked to the right instead of to the left :\ but dont listen to me!
simon seow : I WAS THERE DURING CHRISTMAS 06 TOO!!! :D
Martian from Hong Kong?
p.s: i like nasi lemak and rendang more T_T...
how lah like that?!?!?!?! how to find taufoofah and char siew pau?!?!?!?!?! am hungry just thinking abt it......
i am nowhere near any of those food you guys mentioned....and its blardy snowing like crazy outside...in March!!!!!!!!
how abt char siew pau??
must....find.....tff....csp......
There's a restaurant in central (if i remember correctly...ahh my memory T_T) that serve self proclaimed "hk no.1" char siu pau lol. Very nice indeed~
P.S: go watch the movie "men's flesh char siu pau" la, maybe can ease your cravings towards char siu pau ahahahahahh
and.. please stop talking about food already!!! esp both michael and ront... driving me nuts!!!
both msian and hk food! i miss them wayyyyyyyyyy too much!!!
but... im keeping a note of all the food places though :P hahaha wait till i go to hk again one day. oh yah there is this kai daan chai stall on nathan road (ok wait now im not too sure whether is it nathan road or jordan road, but its that main road that runs along kowloon). REALLY good. part of my nightly siew yeh when i was there. in between tst and jordan mtr stations. a few shops away from mcdonalds. the best i have tried in hk actually.
GOOOOOOOOOOD LUCK! u have my support!!!!!!!!!
Next time you are in HK look me up!
I have been promised a trip to Krispy Kreme this weekend and I cant wait! ahha
