    the speed at which you narrated this entry left me a bit dazed :P

    i read about the micasa flea market from another blog...sounds like fun man! :/ i wanna go flea markets too! especially when i'm kinda close to being broke... :P

    2. Sorry to hear the audition didn't work out. Don't let it dampen your spirits just yet... not getting the role doesn't mean you can't act, just means you aren't what they're looking for (i'm sure they're looking for a certain personality as well).

    3. You very da happening! So much things to do in 1 day... I wish I could be that happening too. Summore dragging your butt around with a cold... *salute*

    4. Dun laa so mean laugh at ur friend's car. Any guy would be hurt if their car was scartched. Cars are men's 2nd wife.

    What was the audition for :O? A Pepsi ad or something? Or was it a new Malaysian teen oscar-winning movie the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Hillary Duff and Jonathan Ling?

    some people who been to a few plays or mingle with a few actors. actually ......in a bizzare manner...think they can act. jsut becuz THEY Seen some plays at KL PAC. so. simply put, maybe it isn't ur forte?

    D : haha cos they said if we were picked for callbacks, they'd call us that very night. didnt get a call, so i assumed i wasnt picked :P

    ricky : maybe it is, since i did make the callbacks after all :) and perhaps it isnt the wisest thing to make uninformed sweeping statements when one doesnt know the background of another.

    how'd you find out that fairview had a flea market? that was my alma mater, back in the day when they weren't even on Jalan Ampang :P

    Hey, don't be too downcast on not getting callbacks, you might be treading the floorboards of some stage very soon - so believe in your abilities (of which I think you have, in plentiful supply) and break a leg (well, not literally:) !

    Yeah, colds suck!! All I seem to get every winter in Aus is flus of every description, one after another - euwwwwww!!

    Haha yeah, the Fete de la Musique was a huge, huge disappointment. Alot of college bands pulled out for unknown reasons and performances on the other Telawi street was cancelled. Four stages were supposed to be set up in different venues but in the end it was only down to three. The only captivating performance was the Capoeira! So much for having faith in my co-organizer college!

    colin charles : where did fairview use to be? anyways why's the flea market so .. small?!

    emily t : really? i only saw like .. two stages! two of my friends' bands were supposed to perform at bangsar village, and la bodega, but both canceled. so sad la the situation! missed the capoeira tho

    it used to be on jalan ampang, then it moved to jalan u thant, and now its in a new premise in jalan ampang (i've never been there though).

    why is it small? no idea. bad organisation skills? things surely have changed, i guess

    oppy : i just got a call today saying i made the second callbacks, which is TOTALLY awesome! one step closer now, i'm really excited but trying not to be too hopeful :P knowing my luck (and lack of talent!) i probably wont get the role!

    Coolness. So, did you buy anything at the fair besides food? Oh. Auditions! Hmmm. If this makes anything, and I doubt it will, but you can have a part in any work I do. I'll even write a character for you, that is if I ever write something. Oh. Callback! Congrats. So, what's the details of the production? What's the story? What's the role? Can I direct? =P

    The real deal why the stage was brought down at the two other venues.
    1. La Bodega, college bands playing rock and being way too loud pissed off La Bodega from supplying the electricity mid way

    2. Bangsar Village, cheerleaders + rock loud music x being near a mosque = you know why la.

    i know why : yes, i heard .. :) but the organisers should have checked about the mosque thing beforehand. about la bodega and ronnie q's and outback clamping down halfway .. they shouldnt have allowed them to do that. wasnt there a contract signed or anything?

    nope .. no contract signed. It wasnt necessary to begin with. It was made with an understanding as it has always been with other fete (2004 and 2005 Bukit Bintang, times square, sungei wang, Changkat Tiong Nam - more restaurants there) DBKL mentioned nothing about the mosque thing. DBKL is also part of the organizing team.
    having been involved with fete for so many years we seen most of the bad times. this year was bad with the closedown of so many "stages"
    Whether it will happen next year, unsure, check sometime the week of June 21
