  • songjun · 1 year ago
    FIRST

    HAUAHUAHUHUAH :P

    lol

eh cool nya! reminds me of some of the funkier hostels in europe though, but with more class and cleanliness hahah i wonder if u can hire their decoraters for interior design purposes
  • pinkpau · 1 year ago
    damn stupid lah you *smack

oh yaa now that you mention it. eeyang found out from the staff that if you wanna decorate a room, you actually can. some of the rooms were designed by satisfied customers who dont have any interior design background. so cool hor. you just pitch them your idea, and they will get all the props and furniture for you if they like your idea.

hmmmmmm i wonder if they would be open to the idea of a kinky room :D teehee. mirrors, four poster beds and all :P
  • Betsy · 1 year ago
OMG! First time I ever comment on your blog, but I felt a big urge that I need to!! All the rooms are so cool, funky n cute!!! If I ever return to Bangkok, I'm so going Reflections!!!!!!
  • reallybites · 1 year ago
aiyo why you never share room with him....save cost ma :P
your room looks like someone's bedroom la. like going to a fren's house for sleepovers.

if we do end up going together, we'll have separate rooms also issit?
  • Eunice · 1 year ago
this is the coolest thang ever. kitsch is exactly it! and i so am going to stay over. if only i could hop over there with an eeyang at my whim and fancy!!
  • Michelle · 1 year ago

Btw, hehe...are you serious about the Clarinase supply?
  • Mabel · 1 year ago
Can send you some...drugs (Clarinase) if you want but I reckon Codral works better for me. Heehee
  • Linda · 1 year ago
seriously if i didn't know, would have thought you're a thai ambassador hahaha. after ur chatuchak entry i was quite interested in going to Bangkok but this cutesy hotel ^__^ so cute and the designs of each room is so nice!! i must go thai soon hehe
  • mich · 1 year ago
hi.. can tell me how to book room thru online? very very like the rooms there...
  • Andy · 1 year ago
Definitely gives me different views for hotels :)

Very refreshing idea, instead of boring corporate-expensive-everywhere-the-same hotels.
  • Jun · 1 year ago
oooh, this has got to be one of ur most colorful posts! even makes me happy looking at it :D how wonderfully appropriate to swing by after a hectic day in the ER :)

guess why room409 doesn't have broadband? cos u're supposed to get in touch with nature la! ;p
  • pinksterz · 1 year ago
    eeeek!!! the hotel so nice!!!
  • Gin · 1 year ago
ZOMG ZOMGZOMG SO PRETTY ME LIKE
  • KY · 1 year ago
oOo love the rooms, so colorful!
  • Kim · 1 year ago
I just started reading your blog and I have to say, I totally love the way you write. You've got fantastic English and you're so down-to-earth. You seem really nice! Oh and congratulations on getting into Columbia! I'm considering applying there too along with Emory Uni and WSU. :)
  • ky · 1 year ago
hey there. i'll be heading to bangkok next week.
may i know the difference if i were to change my money in Malaysia and Bangkok? And how much do you think is sufficient to bring over to Bangkok for a 6 days trip?
Really sorry to bother and thanks in advance :)
  • sieutheng · 1 year ago
    so cute can die.
  • WP · 1 year ago
Very cute! I didn't know hotels like this existed!
  • crab · 1 year ago
    thank you for recommending!!!!! :))
  • pinkpau · 1 year ago
betsy : oh you must :)) make sure to book your rooms early so you can have your stay in your fav rooms!

reallybites : no lah if we go sure share same room! girls mah

eunice : haha an eeyang of your own is GREAT to go to chatuchak with!!! he will carry all of your stuff :P

michelle : but why do you wanna read about my mothers day!

kennysia : eh dont give my mother ideas!

    foreverjas : you should!

mabel : chatuchak is a must visit :) there are loads of other great places in bangkok as well. no lah it's ok about the clarinase; a kind friend just delivered some to my house! :D but it doesnt seem to be working anymore. i gotta check out this codral thing :\

linda : and i havent even blogged about THE FOOD yet! :D

mich : you have to go their website, pick the rooms you like, then drop them an email at the email address provided

    andy : that's why i love boutique hotels :)

jun : OH. hahahaha! thou art clever! but i'll pass on the nature if it means no broadband, thank u :P

    pinksterz : nice leh!

    gin : pretty leh!

    ky : colorful leh!

kim : heya, sorry i had to truncate your comment :) cheap publicity stunts dont deserve any more publicity; i hope you understand. thank you regarding columbia; i'm extremely excited to go! hmm WSU.. wichita state uni? i've got several friends studying there. i'm really curious why you're choosing to go there! it's really not the best school nor is it in the most exciting of states :P

ky : no differece, really, you just have to suss out good rates in either place. we got better rates in bangkok, just across the road from our hotel :) it was 9.75 baht to 1 ringgit. back home it was about 9.5? for 6 days.. excluding airfare and hotel stay, rm800- 1000 should be more than enough. if you plan to shop loads, i would bring a little bit more than that.

    sieutheng : i know /eyes

wp : our neighbouring country singapore has some pretty cool boutique hotels as well! :)

crab : you are most welcome!
  • TheRealAnonymous · 1 year ago
Aiyoh, who ask u to put your clarinase pills together wif your fengtau pills? Of coz' get confiscated laaaa! HAHAHA... I use Cirrus. I find them more effective, and acts way faster.

    hotel looks damn cuteeeeeee! =p

I hope you exchanged money at K-excellence bank. Thats the money changer with the best rate, none other. =p Btw, sorry I forgot to tell you this horrrrr... actually u tekan money from ATM u get a better rate than money changers! hehe... same goes for credit cards. =p Credit cards are FOC, but ATM withdrawal transaction (for my bank, Alliance) charges RM8 per withdrawal, but if u withdraw 10,000 baht at once, and add in the RM8 into it, you still get a better rate than any money changers available! =p
  • hui wen · 1 year ago
Omg pinkpauuuu i loveee youuuuu! I have always wanted to stay in boutique hotels; there's one in s'pore that I am dying to go to, tell you 'bout it after I go, HEEHEE; but this hotel looks amazing!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it is brimming with kitsch and randomness!!
  • hui wen · 1 year ago
Aiya, why my comment got cut off. But haha, why are you so hamsap, you want kinky theme room. :P
  • pinkpau · 1 year ago
therealanon : haha i dont even know why i brought my clarinase there!!! so stupid now that i think abt it; obviously i wouldnt have been able to bring it in! hehe cute leh the hotel. hmm i went to the private money changers this time around. good rate! 9.75 baht to one ringgit. hahaha er.. ATM ah... um. hehehe! i dont have a bank account. hehe. :D

hui wen : hehe you must be staying at either The Scarlet or the New Majestic :P correct? haha kinky theme room nice mah! new majestic hotel has something like that, but it's the classy kinda sexy :)
  • songjun · 1 year ago
eh come UK , i know some places with 4 poster beds and reallly english quaint one :D but quite expensive la those

did u know that the four poster bed is actually to keep rat droppings and bird droppings from falling on people's heads while they slept back in the old days? :P

    nothing romantic there hahaha

eh cool la that place! now i wanna go too haha
  • songjun · 1 year ago
eh they should like.. modern art type room

the whole room white with plain white marble floor and a black bed in the middle and a shower in a corner then the tv everything all is fitted into the walls which can slide open etc

Desloratadine is a good antihistamine, its non sedative in nature for day use.

If you want one for the night, get cetirizine hydrochloride. KO-s me in about 20mins.

Damn good shit, and I sound like a fricking quack here.
  • Justice · 1 year ago
.....I feel like flying to Bangkok right now!!!

Eversince start reading your blog, I love it so much cos u always having surprises for your readers...thanks Sun Ann, what a good & detail recommendation, u are wonderful! :) **
  • Emily T · 1 year ago
Su Ann, I wish you'd gone to Bangkok sooner and wrote about this earlier! :P I've just paid for flight and hotel (definitely NOT Reflections, sigh!) for my upcoming BKK trip next month just two weeks back. Reflections looks exactly like the kind of hotel I'd stay in. I contemplated on the Shanghai Inn which touts itself as a boutique hotel too but I finally settled for Le Fenix on Sukhumvit (I keep seeing this street name in this post and the one on Chatuchak so I guess my choice of hotel can't be wrong? Hehe, YAY)

Oh and what you wrote about Chatuchak got me all fired up for shopping in Bangkok! I can't wait! :D
  • Jeff from LA · 1 year ago
Reflections really seems like an amazing place to stay. I had no idea they had such cute hotels in Bangkok. I'll definitely have to try it when I visit Bangkok. One of my old law school buddies keeps telling me to go visit her so I really should go.

How do you find these cute places to stay, by the way? I am always impressed at your ability to find great hotels everywhere you travel.
  • Jay V · 1 year ago
why i never found such room in Malaysia ah?
  • iamdoryfish · 1 year ago
Cool, thanks for recommending!! :) And you have quite a number of good photos....no need to feel bad about it!
  • miss p · 1 year ago
wah so cool so cool~!! those bags look really nice.
  • Kim · 1 year ago
Hahahahaha! No! Not Wichita State Uni! I don't even know where that is! Washington State Uni! And no worries about the comment. :)
  • Yappy · 1 year ago
Before your posts about bangkok and ringha, it never cross my mind to include them in my 'Must visit list'. But now, i sooo wanna go!! Ah well, maybe during my summer break. :))
After 2 years of reading your blog, i never found a single entry that i dislike. I enjoy reading your blog, whether its ur day-to-day post, your political views or posts that talked about food and travel. You rock, Su Ann! Keep the posts coming! :)))
  • Darren · 1 year ago
very very creative and artistic, i would love to decorate my room like that or my future house hehe

  • simplicityx · 1 year ago
omg after seeing this i wanna go to bangkok @_@
  • kx · 1 year ago
ohhh, i hv been to this one....good choice. i love it too. thought of writing about it too actually...maybe..soon. but this hotel has a little downside, kinda out of nowhere...altho BTS is considered fairly near, still...quite a hassle. but overall, it's ok (location wise). it's a 4/5 for me...lol.
  • Rachel · 1 year ago
Babe, aku sudah pulang dari Bangkok... I really shopped till I dropped!!! Drop as in almost jatuh cos too much things to carry! So good to shop! cannot finish! not enough time!

Hey we should go again and explore more of Bangkok... sight seeing more.. of course, shopping also! but i think we can share room right?! lol...

    I heart
  • Nick Au · 1 year ago

songjun : WHY YOU SPOIL MY FOUR POSTER BED DREAMS :( hehe i've seen living room designs with that concept you just described. and Space is taken! it's this furniture/ interior showroom! they recently opened an outlet in bangsar. your 'hood. hehe

dr tan : omg you really earned your doctor prefix haha

justice : you're welcome but my name is su ann :( not sun ann :(

emily t : how come you paid for your hotel? if you'd only booked and not paid, you can usually cancel it without any charges, if you do it within a week of your check in date :) sukhumvit is this reeeeally loooong road / area in the city, so yes you cant go wrong staying there! sukhumvit has lots of these little sois (streets) that house great cafes and restaurants and boutiques :) ahh i know where le fenix is! it's on the same road as bed supperclub! bring your ID when you go clubbing ya, they check every single one.

jeff : you MUST go to bangkok!! i would ask you to drop by KL but then i'm not there anymore :( and tripadvisor.com is your best friend when it comes to looking for hotels :D

jay v : cos we dont have anything like this :( we've got a few little boutique places, but nothign as creative as Reflections

iamdoryfish : hehe ok that makes me feel a little bit better :P

miss p : i knowwww! i really wanted to buy one!

kim : oh THAT wsu :P hahaha! feel free to email me if you need any help with your applications :) you're transferring from an american degree program, i suppose?

yappy : sniff thank you for your comment!! :)))) it made my day

darren : haha i know!! but you must find a wife who will agree with this sort of design :D

sam : yahhhhh :( but there is msn!! and scrabble :D

michelle c : its ok :) ur mom understands

    simplicityx : hehehee!

kx : true, i agree! but it's not that expensive to travel out of pradiphat :) rm 5-7 only

rachel : haha im so glad to hear you shopped your heart out at bangkok!!! most people cannot stand chatuchak and all the other shopping places cos they're so crowded. yes of course we can share a room :D save cost for more shopping!!

nick au : dont do it alone :D go with your gf !

sheon : a mummy?! hahaha wtf!!

scott : i'm going to give you a Superlative on facebook. Most Likely To Find A Sexual Innuendo Even If It's Not There!

nick c : tune to some other channel!

azhan : haha that's what backpacker places are for! cheap but simple! you get what you pay for after all :) i would love to backpack one day. i plan to do it in india

I HAD to pay immediately after booking because I took AirAsia's Flight + Hotel package. I just did abit of calculations and realize that it's not very much cost-saving o.O Haha clubbing really isn't on my list of To Do's in Bangkok but my boyfriend insist that we check out Bedsupperclub so thank youuu for all the tips and for all your very enlightening write-ups on BKK. :)
