I loved Babel too and I think they totally got shafted. Apparently word on the street (in the US at least) is that it's a wanker's movie - hah, trust the Americans to shy away from anything that's not set in NY, LA or possibly, even Boston.
And yum, will you share those cookies? =)
and i cannot believe the departed won best picture. bleurgh. babel!
eh so you finally decided to go for rachel y?
lishun : okay we go together next time! what kinda music are u into? abt the departed, i know what u mean. totally undeserving. babel should have gotten it.
artificially : yes!! i've decided!! dont change my mind now!!! though i havent bought tickets. that moment where i'll go 'shiiiiiiiiiiiit i shouldnt have bought tickets for rachael y!!!!' will come soon, i can feel it..
reallybites : sistic.com.sg!
percy : do u mean to ask if i went last year or if im going this year? if the latter, then yes i'm going, but only if i get accomodation. right now i am on the waitlist of 2 hotels.. i stupidly thought january was just nice to book rooms. but i was told rooms were all booked out as early as november -___-
Hope you have fun!

I got an A for English 101!
ps: ya I loved Ellen Degeneres too
pps: because of the Oscars I was totally unprepared for my exam in the morning D:
the departed was a comedy, a COMEDY, i tell you. all the characters had NO development/dilemmas except leo and the psychologist. matt damon's character was mediocre.
jack nicholson spoilt the entire film. did you see the see-me-throw-cocaine-on-my-bed-while-i-screw-my-two-prostitutes part? wtf wei, wtf
leo was great, though.
i preferred babel too.
fall out boy!
HOW MUCH
OMG
WHERE WHERE WHERE
reallybites : check around april or may or something.. some things may be going on by then! :D
percy : im gonna pass on the city hotels, cos i'd much prefer to stay as close to the festival site as possible! so i only checked with the 2 holiday inns near the cultural village. but i was told by a kuchingite friend that most city hotels are booked out anyway! hmmmm...
alea : i think the departed had a lot of appeal to those who never watched infernal affairs. we're let down because we know how awesome IA was. but in truth they're both in leagues of their own .. i try to tell myself not to compare but inevitably i just do :P
kevin : sigh! at least now i know not to take 102..
hishy : bad hishy! not going to send u milo now!
sw : im very excited :D
kiasu andrew : totally agree abt leonardo dicaprio :) but i thought jack nicholson was good! did u watch dreamgirls?
lynny : hahahaha i KNOW!! such an idiot, right. haha did u see the look greg kinnear gave him?!
i ling : oooh the chocolate cake :D~ did you try their special drinks? and yes im going for phantom of the opera with the boyfriend.. he just doesnt know it yet.. hahaha! yea there's lots of stuff to eat in sg! i'll recompile them soon, cos im heading there 3 times this month -___-
martian : but angsty people hate everything... and stop thinking abt showgirls. it's dreamgirls.
lishun : okie dokie! :D
the other zen : hehehe!
adrian : not true .. but it's a tough fight :) i loved little miss sunshine as well.
