Don't be too stressed out, yah! Don't worry be happy... It doesn't really matter if you don't get accepted into the best school etc. That's only good for your portfolio stuff la. What matters most is how you cope in a working environment after graduating, ya know? Smart students may not exactly be the best employee, you see... So don't give up and all the very best in your journey in life!

and wtf i actually wrote more than that.. hahaha anyway take it easy on the college thingy, im sure u'll get into one :) oh and i feel for u abt being insomniac, but look at the bright side, at least we get to do other stuff while everyone else snores in bed .. like 300 sit ups and adding every facebook applications created, and roll around in bed about 987874673 times .. hello su ann =) glad to see you blogging again. just got back from klcc, after camwhoring the night away and waiting for the towers to tutup lampu so that we can take before/after pics =p so the thing i wana say is.. thanks to your previous blog, i din get onto the cab that wanted to charge me rm10 from wherever klcc to my apartment (usually it's just rm4 or less). took another cab, the malay pakcik inside was ok, ikut meter, and he even asked about why we didn't take the other cab. so when we told him the other cabbie charged us rm10, he was like, dun be mad at him la, life is hard nowadays, it's past midnight isnt it, so they do charge more la... and he even took shortcuts back, i know because some cabbies sengaja take the long way round. the pakcik even had a good sense of humor: when asked how much was the fare, he replied, 600 sen ^^
and oh, i love those stickers! especially the one about the procrastinators =p that's so me. haha ^^

Its so funny how huge Reeses Peanut Butter Cups are in Asia. You're only the 3rd Asian blog that I've read extolling the virtues of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. I guess when you really can't have something it makes it so much better. Here, where you can get them at any grocery store, I guess we take them for granted.
Don't worry about school. You'll get into the schools you applied to. And even if for some insane reason you don't, that means you can apply to USC and come here so I can see you, lol. (I'm just kidding). But don't worry, I don't think there's even a small chance you won't get into at least one of those schools.
Finally, I love how you're just as much of a Facebook whore* as I am.

oh well, don't worry. going to the best college/uni won't make a difference if you have what it takes to be the best in your field. You don't need to be from Ivy league bullshit to succeed, and it would be cooler if you're a success and you hail from some nonsense such as timbuktu state uni.

good luck in your apps and essays.. i know how much of a pain it is. The unis you picked are all pretty good, so as long as you get into one of them you'll be fine.
Kristof, I have to disagree with you though, the fact with hiring nowadays is that having been in a good college uni will get your foot into the door, and with the job market being very competitve nowadays, a good uni / college will definitely give you an edge over others in the jobsphere. And usually the best unis have the better professors / labs / coursework / etc that will help you succeed even further and be better at your field. So being in a good uni is important.

Yes it's true academic results don't count for everything. I've interviewed one too many a candidate who went to the UK but was ultimately a Malaysian education product. Street smarts matter more, and it's unfortunate that many think papers matter so strongly... until they hit the market, or are on the interviewer's side.
