but there are many many things in life that you somehow know have good potential to be right for you. And finding each and every one of them out makes life interesting.
  • wy · 2 years ago
hey! i saw you at starbucks. i was opposite, at the church. good to see you real life!
  • pearly · 2 years ago
it's great that there are things that you know that's right for you. i have problems deciding on that.

anyway, on a random note. the people you saw infront of the church was my friends and myself. the guy who squinted at you was david lai, your schoolmate from ssg (:

Sweetheart.....how do you know you have a personality disorder?

People say things when they're angry and upset and resentful and an argument is all of the above and more. They might mean them at that very moment in time, but whether there is any truth to those accusations is another matter entirely.

So please don't say you have a personality disorder - everyone feels scared and apprehensive sometimes, and I too, for one am a champion AVOIDER. Especially when it comes to deadlines and assignments *sweats*

Hope you feel better about what's bugging you soon - it can be hard when The Martian can't be there with you when you need him. LDRs can be tough can't they? *sigh*

Which is not to downplay the importance of your family though =)

    *Hugs*

ps: I agree, I thought I'd found something/ someone that was right for me - but hell was I wrong =( Now I'm more cynical then before. The glass? Half empty. Always. Undoubtedly *grins*

talking about personality disorder..i began to feel that i am having that symptom..it's like in the middle of the lecture..my mind would just go travel other places without me even realising wat am i doing...trust me..you dun have personal disorder..you just have a "good" temper..haha..(currently feeling very depressed)
  • tokyo rose · 2 years ago
true. but that only means that you shouldn't feel bad about trying the ones you're not sure about, right? cos you never know...at least that's the way i'll think of it. thanks Pinkpau, that insight was just what i needed today...^^
  • pinkpau · 2 years ago
    songjun : i shy.....

alvin : but those are unfortunately, few and far in between. but i guess that makes it a lot sweeter when u finally find one of those things :)

wy : i was going to ask if u were the guy who squinted at me but pearly's comment clarifies that :P hello to u too!

pearly : i have problems with that too .. sometimes i like to delude myself. and omg, david lai goes to BGC now?? eh i never knew u went to bgc...

michellesy : well i dont *know* that i have a personality disorder, it's just that it's hard not to suspect so when ppl around u imply that u might have one.. or make u feel like u have one. and im feeling better already.. :) see?? personality disorder characterized by too frequent mood swings of considerable magnitude. ya glass half empty.. that's my glass too. good wat right, when it spills then there wont be so much water on the rug :) if u know what i mean

fishnet : oh my god pls go out there and kick some major taylors debate butt!!!! taylors debate was and will always be one of those things that i wish i'd redone in my life. trust me it's easy to win the debate if u know how. whats ur motion, stance and opponent? my biggest advice for taylors debate is always attack them where they least expect it. meaning to say dont build ur case around the usual arguments - go for the most obscure but bulletproof arguments. coz prior experience tells me that taylors debaters are not trained to think on their feet.. :) they just have all their rebuttals prepared and laid out for them. so u can counter that by coming up with things that hv not been laid out for them, so they cannot rebut. then just sit back and watch them stumble, haha. (but er dont make my batch's mistake and bring up kononnya sensitive issues like religion.. as encik isk will tell u)

jimmy : can i be a star instead?

jinz : yours wouldnt be a personality disorder.. it's an Attention Deficit Disorder characteristic :P hehe i know what u mean tho. dont u just wish lectures would be more interesting???

tokyo rose : no we shouldnt feel bad abt trying.. but i've got this thing in me where i hate to try and subsequently fail? its like as long as i'm seen trying (ie actually caring about succeeding), i must succeed. and so when i find myself in situations just doomed to fail, the question is should i try or should i not?

Yeah, I know what you mean about the feeling of something being right. Ever experienced the feeling of wanting to feel as though something is really really right?

    I have that.
  • songjun · 2 years ago
    haha
no need shy la.. ask fei mao teman u
  • pinkpau · 2 years ago
lali : no.. im afraid i havent felt like that.

songjun : he's too busy making gourmet dinners for his girls to teman me! eh u know what.. that day i dreamt that robert and chew started a band together, but robert didnt leave family circle yet, so there was this big tiff between both the bands! and then i tried to give theo ice cream to calm him down but he dont want =( gasp, what does this mean?!

is there something wrong with my computer? I just wanted to say that "You only knew what things are right only when you have already done many wrong things... Alas, that's life! " (I won't post again if this go wrong too)
  • Jay · 2 years ago
You said above that your afraid of never having that feeling of something being right. But, is it better to have felt that feeling and lose it than never feeling it? It's like saying, it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, but I think that's bullshit.

To have never loved, is like never reaching the top, you believe in having that opportunity, that feeling which you never knew and you can long and grab for it. To have loved and lost, you've reach that top, and been smacked down to the bottom. Would you want to spend the rest of day looking for that feeling you once had but as the days pass, can barely remember?

People say, you never actually know that feeling of something being right until something goes wrong and you lose that feeling. But then, one's got to wonder, that feeling of something right, is that the max? Like, who is to say that once you've felt that moment, nothing will never match it or even surpass it? (This kinda supports the "to have loved and lost" thing above, but whatever.)

    ----

As for the other topic, for me..I am a repressor, a loner and a stubborn idiot. I tend to do thing on my own, try to solve problems on my own and I tend to not ask for advice or help. There is a limit to how much a person can carry, and I don't mean physically. I tend to just brush things off even tho, within me, the same things hurt. With me, I've been open in the past and that ended up hurting me like crazy, so I've closed up and I tend to never let anyone know what I'm thinking, tho I have no problem admitting that I do this.

Most of the time, I feel like a wanderer or drifter, just wandering around, searching. For what? Who knows...

(Most of this seems like an incomplete thought...maybe I'll get back to you.)

no la use both trite and creative points, or else the judges wont like one if you dont talk about the obvious obvoius points.
  • Michelle · 2 years ago
Hey, be positive lah. I'm sure you don't have personality disorder. Sometimes, I feel like that too. =)
Have a chocolate bar. You will feel no fear. =)
  • fishnet · 2 years ago
Thx for your advice :P will keep that in mind...

haha! we won our 2nd rd against chung hua from Seremban on thursday. the motion was "the wearing of uniform as a school attire bridges the gap between the rich and the poor". We were affirmative. honestly and frankly speaking, your batch would have been able to completely steamroll them... they weren't very good and they were talking abt the disadvantages of school uniform plus their english wasnt very good either... We messed up our rebuttals a bit cuz there were too many things to rebut on and we already discussed abt all the stuff they mentioned so yeah... haha.. feeling a bit disappointed really.. all of us.. haha. 1st rd opponents were better though.

plus the judges called us sarcastic. well, mainly keegan cuz he used this poem created by the one and only en. iskandar during his summing up:

    Speakers come speakers go
Here today you see them so
We come here to show our stuff
Some come here to throw a bluff.

Their teacher advisor wasn't amused. Keegan felt damn bad man... hahaha.. quite funny really.. in a way... XP

next rd is coming thursday. motion: Cosmetic surgery should be banned. Haha. dunno who our opponents are nor which side we are on yet. Guh..
