Actually right the first plan was this:
Martian waits for her in a restaurant. She comes in expecting to see me and sees him instead. She squeals in excitement and pees in her pants. Martian (with flowers in hand), goes over to kiss her. All the other patrons stand up and clap. Happily every after!

But martian scolded me! said this is not some tv drama no need like that T_T

Oooh so much drama! Luckily for Martian, it didn't backfire too badly. Must say that those people are damn poor liars.

I used to give my wife 'spectacular' surprises too. But after marriage and a couple of kids, the surprises are fewer in between and not that spectacular. Besides work, also need to focus on the kids. But the wife keeps on complaining, why I ain't like last time anymore : (

you have a bunch of craziest friends lol. I really rofl about the part where martian texted you "baby you arent you worried about me" lol. He clearly panicked and suddenly forgotten that he had a surprise in hand. Too cute.

Can I share my story too? Well I love surprises especially giving surprises. Its a huge adrenaline rush to see the other party's eyes go (0__0). My ex bf's bday is coming up and for the entire week I've been working on a handmade bday card. Im planning to mail (they all live in nyc) it to his bestfriend so that his bestfriend can give the card to him on the day of his bday and he will be all surprised and shocked because he'll never expect anything from me since we're no longer together. Well at least thats what I hope will happen. For all you know, he will be surprised alright, but in a bad way and then throw the card away. Oh well.

I did the same thing (even getting my friend to meet her on the day I arrive) when I proposed to my fiance in February this year.

rachel : wow 2 essays in an hour? actually i wish i could advise you but back in school i always used to go over time for the essay components, and in the last 5 minutes i would have to scribble a really hastily put-together ending. my problem was that i spent too much thinking of a spectacular story idea, and also spending too much time on the perfect opener.. but when i realized that i should just settle for an average topic but write it well, and also not to agonize over the opener, i was okay. i suppose since you're writing sopo essays, your issue is how to organize your thoughts? a rule of thumb is always to use signposts at the start of each paragraph to indicate a new idea. try to sequence your points as closely as possible so that they have a nice flow. to be honest i'm just clutching at straws here cos im not really sure what your problem is :\

Yeah, doing architecture as well. She's my coursemate and when I'm bored I call her Sieu Sieu.

It was an art workshop, 5% of our subject grade for two subjects was fulfilled by attending. We had to paint something architectural themed (though there was a lot off tangent ie. angels, animals, etc, LOL)

lol suetli and martian's mom are so funny! reminds me of my girlfriends they're so good at acting it's scary sometimes. once one of my guy friends just said, 'today doesn't feel like friday. feels like it's not end of the week lidat.'

and then one of them started, 'yea didn't you know? they switched thursday and friday so now it's monday, tuesday, wednesday, friday, thursday.'

then we all jumped in and the poor boy believed us and threw a big tantrum when he found out it wasn't real lol.

i hate it when people make remarks as ignorant as yours. "suka suka" as if he does this all the time and as if he doesnt think it's expensive too. a boyfriend saves money to surprise his girlfriend for her first birthday away from home and all you can focus on is how "rich" he supposedly is. please dont spoil my happy surprise with your cynicism.

shit.. i didn't mean to spoil anything.. i just replied on the spur of the moment in the middle of the night.. it's just that... people normally won't be able to afford to fly to the US and back for more than once in the space of a couple of months..

hey, you know wt.. people said its a taboo to give your other half foot wears (ie ; shoes, heels, slippers).. I dont how true that is but, it happen to me and a few of my friends. I gave my then bf a pair of Adidas All Star and he gave me a pair of heels, within a few months we broke up. My close friend who gave her bf a pair of sandals broke up within a month!!! Ofcourse, im not going to say you and Martian will be too ( u both look awesomely sweet together!) .. :P
