quaintly: The Maxis Venus Affair

  • cc · 1 year ago
i don't get how flowers and makeoever etc relate to Maxis broadband... so, it's a gimmick to attract people... but why just females? am I missing something here...

anyways, you posing with the flowers = cute! LOL.
  • pinkpau · 1 year ago
cc: i suppose they realized that not many women are aware of or are interested in the maxis broadband modem, and so they held a female-focused event to draw female attention to the product :)

oh. and i accidentally broke the flower on the way out of the event :( clumsy.

    You are up early
  • Michelle · 1 year ago
The blogging community in Australia is just passive. I guess Asian bloggers are much more influential in many ways. =D

Hey, pinkpau, me got a question.

Are you a morning lark or a night owl?
  • joyl · 1 year ago
what laptop are you using?? thanks for sharing!
  • kei · 1 year ago
ehh..i always thought the maxis modem was a huge one... cuz i see people connecting huge modems to their laptops :/
  • skyler · 1 year ago

yah! at last picture of you without you doing the piggy lips thingy.
  • iamthewitch · 1 year ago
Hmm I still think RM118 is a little bit costly considering the speed is not that good. I have a few colleagues trying it out for one week and returning after that due to poor speed and coverage in high rise buildings...something to improve on?
  • Eunice · 1 year ago
i love their wallet thing! and you look loveleh (; have you seen 27 dresses?
  • sheon · 1 year ago
nice customers actually get rewarded for their loyalty. CELCOM!!!!!!! WHERE IS MINE?!?!?.....argh!!! i never get anything for being loyal....i've got a couple of frens who are celcom users as long as I....but they get freebies and stuff once in a while...but nothing turns up in my mailbox. i am a moderately heavy user at that.

i am scouting for a laptop......maybe you get the broadband, i get the laptop lar :)

Some areas have 3.5G connection if not mistaken... you just have to see which area you're in. IF you're within those areas, it could be faster than crummy streamyx that never upgrades their hardware leaving all our lines busy and connections slow...

Woots! Malaysia is really improving its technology now eh?
USB modem too! Something that has already become common in many other countries. Oh wells. At least, we have it too now.

You look cute! Are those suspenders?
  • Michelle C · 1 year ago

    Serious?

  • miss p · 1 year ago
gerberas are my favourite! i like the bright orange ones but hey, pink ones are just as pretty! :D hehe

they have those mobile broadbands here in aust too. but they like to limit our internet by our bandwidth :( its true that they are super convenient, can use it on the bus, train, when you accompany your friend having lunch. lol. but most cafes here have free broadband so yeah :D
  • Yappy · 1 year ago
Haha.. I guess you will be very busy attending all these events and blog about them as well. Can't wait to read em! :)
Now that I'm in Australia, I revert back to using dial-up coz it's cheaper. :( Not as slow as Malaysia's, but I miss broadband! It's really cheap though, 30 cents for 4 hours of connection. And oh, get the pink Dell laptop!!! I think it totally suits you. Haha.. :D

  • Chee Wei · 1 year ago
i think just give it another year or 2 before they are able to offer an affordable 3.5G internet...
  • TheRealAnonymous · 1 year ago
yeah lar... wait for more people to use it first lorh.

But so far no negative feedback from the people I know who are using it lar. My CNY Genting trip my friend brought his laptop and this maxis thingy there oso no problem, can online. =p
  • kezanne · 1 year ago
if i'm not mistaken, the connection of the maxis broadband depends on the coverage of maxis in that area.. jz like the maxis line u're using for ur hp..
if u r in an area where ur maxis coverage is strong, ur maxis broadband connection will be good and vice-versa..
  • megan · 1 year ago

    cool event~!
  • vialentino · 1 year ago
if sometimes u face connection instability...take out ur sim card for 10 mins and shut down your pc. After 10 mins, try and turn on your PC and connect the wireless broadband again and u will get a much stable and fast connection.
