zen : thank you! are you in form4 or form5 this year? form4 this year is fortunate enough to have IT in english (instead of BM) for their syllabus, compared to my batch and this year's form5. i think IT is actually fairly easy, i never actually took any IT classes, just printed out notes and read on my own, and i didnt do too badly :) so if you can put in the time for reading, yeah why not! literature on the other hand, is slightly tougher if you are unable to think critically and analytically. i would recommend you find a good tutor, and pick up some reference books (CLIFFS NOTES!!!), if you really want to take Lit :) otherwise it's gonna be a bit difficult. also get practice papers because the one biggest obstacle for me during SPM was finishing the paper on time, cos i never sat for any lit paper prior to the real SPM paper, and so couldnt gauge how much time i should take. all the best!

artificially : EST is just that, an english paper that's centred very heavily around science and technology. so you write essays on stuff like volcanoes, astronomy etc. wei haha you think EST easy ah?! a lot of people didnt get straight A's cos of EST ok! many people got A2 also.
