  • Ginny · 3 years ago
    >=@ THE HORROR! u actually like wong kok! omg..i hattttee that place.. not only r the waiters effing rude.. but the foods is so.. *pukes* food n tea a lot better!!

n kim gary quality drop liao u_u . sadnya.
  • pinkpau · 3 years ago
hehe you gotta try SS2 one. i think wong kok in leisure mall just cannot compare to ss2's. but yeah i agree that Food & Tea is better than Wong Kok :) also agree about Kim Gary's quality drop.. and they've gotten really annoying with this no-photos policy. i had to be bitchy to get these pics :P
  • vvens · 3 years ago
have you tried U-village (sgwang) and Tong Lor Wan (low yat) ? so you can make more comparisons. hehehe..

i dont take Kim Gary's borsch soup and baked cheese rice, that's why i dint notice the quality actaully went down. i usually take only their toast which is so so so good and their fried rice. hahahaha.

and yeah, there was one in Hartamas' Kim Gary, i was speaking english with my brother when the waiter was here. so he thought its better to serve me with english but i wanted to speak in mandarin to him. so he spoke in english to me first, a very lousy one. hahaha i dont understand at all.

so i said, its okay if you speak mandarin. hahahaha.

okay, this is gonna sound so uber super sad, but I have never tried any of those. And I've stayed in KL all my life. yeah..I know..sad. But the mushroom soup in a bun thing, try La Manila inMid Valley. It's goodddddd. Okayla..tomorrow I go try and see if what you said is true.

you might want to try yut kee's french toast as well. there's no peanut butter but the bread is HUGE, fried to perfection and the syrup's really good too. it's a pretty popular coffee shop in kl, near the bodhi tree i think, and it also has lovely butter cake and kaya rolls. great stuff served there. it's packed every weekend.
  • Adrian C · 3 years ago
Hmm. I just went to Yut Kee a few weeks back. Going to blog about it. Come over my site to check it out.
  • reallybites · 3 years ago
come pg...we have the nice toast bread and half boiled eggs shop near the airport!
  • nina · 3 years ago
you know, if anybody I know is going to KL and asking me for tips, I'm going to steer them to your blog! You're so great at this, you should do this for a living ;)

Btw, I finally tried Haagen Dazs' fondue and you're right.. they're to die for!

Nolah, I'm just joking only ^_^!! Enjoyed your post....
  • entwined · 3 years ago
i like wong kok's mash potatoes. so damn buttery! :D

i recommend the cheese baked rice in vivo :) best i've tasted. kim gary's always leave me feeling jelak and bloated half way through, but vivo's just makes me feel like ordering another! :)
the vivo branch i tried was in johor, but there's one in the curve, too.

and i concur about the french toast. the ultimate food indulgence!
  • suki · 3 years ago
whoa, that looks so heavy. cheese rice. HEAVY...
  • jirwanq · 3 years ago

Yes, you should try Causeway Bay at Low Yat.

They have the best Yin Yong!

Btw, you didn't compare Yin Yong from all those shops?
  • turquoise · 3 years ago
if you're looking for good mushroom soup you should try the soup at la risata in ampang. the food there is fab !
  • pinkpau · 3 years ago
jon : good to know :D

entwined : vivo sounds so italian .. and i'm going on an italian strike! so i refuse to eat there!

suki : it CAN be rather heavy!

jirwan : we should go to la carretas one dayyyyy! pleeease

spiller : yin yong the drink? haha that's what i always order, but i thought i'd just compare food

turqoise : i've been wanting to go there for so long!!! la risata is the one with a branch in medan damansara right? behind victoria station?
  • nat · 3 years ago
lol i suppose u know Food & Tea has a branch right here in Pandan Indah right *_* teehee. i like their food and i frequent the branch alot. used to, at least.
