  I love how you can be so real about everything in life: coming to realize what matters and what don't and all the mistakes we makes just to figure out which is which. And it really is okay sometimes, to be wrong about things, because 'tis life :) I think we all get too caught up in life we need time to settle our thoughts.

  This is just such a happy-clappy post! :) I am glad you saw the light WTF, and shifted to the right priorities. :))) And I love polaroid pictures! I think in my whole life I only had one or two polaroid pictures taken. T___T Admit it! Those scribbles made on the photos, are they marker pens, or you used photoshop, hahahaha!

  u liberated urself & possibly motivated others too by taking the high-road out of this fiasco. just looking at ur bunch of great friends speaks volume about u. this is such an encouraging post! esp after recent endless rounds of blogs & comments in blogsphere which manifested the venom in many. sad too to that some are so bent on taking the low-road. it is refreshing to listen to the voice of good. love those big happy smiles all round :)

  Wish you all the best and good luck in Columbia. I may not have known you personally (mostly through reading your blog even before knowing you're actually a friend of dyjx lol) from the few times we've met here and there, but your presence and attitude tells me you will always stay true to yourself and therefore become excellent
  
  
  As we walk along the path of life we meet various people, some become friends we'll always cherish, and sometimes we make serious mistakes and say things out of anger that we seriously regret later, while some may hurt us in ways we have never managed to anticipate before it happens... But what matters most is that we appreciate those who really matter and that we give our best as a family member/ friend/ etc
  
  Sometimes we spend time and energy on people that don't really matter, but that's simply because we're humans and we act according to our hearts just as much as our brains, if not more...

  Haha, spend as much time as you can with your friends, family and your loved ones, Pau. I pretty much realised that before I come over to Melbourne. I used to take my family for granted and was very desperate to move out to a new environment... But then, I realised what comes first. Don't mess your head with people who don't even care for you. They are just not worth it. Even though I tell you this, I think I might be doing the same thing as you are. I always care what others think of me. I always try to appease and make myself like-able but in the end, IN THE END, it is you that matters the most.

  Since you're heading to the States, perhaps you'll appreciate this analogy. Your situation is akin to America waging wars on foreign land for endeavors that deserve less attention than the plight of the less fortunate masses at home deprived of education, nourishment and healthcare.

  Focus on those who are worthy of your love and care :) Eh, thank goodness you didn't slap Ivan's hands away or what! Back in uni on my birthday eve, I was getting really pissy having to edit ppl's work for an assignment, which was really sub standard work, I tell you. I was very particular about grammar, spelling and spacing, not to mention the whole assignment's presentation but this particular housemate who was my course mate too just brushed me off saying that I should just close one eye and wrap up the work, which, well, honestly pissed me off further and I went into a really foul mood.
  
  Wht really happened was, they were trying to get me finish my work soon as it's nearing 12 midnight coz they were throwing a surprise birthday party for me, which I had no idea of, of course. I hid in the room after the assignment and they had to fake the phone ringing to say it's my call, so when I came out from my room, they switched off the lights and there I saw the birthday cake and they started singing as well. Got me tearing and I felt so damn guilty for losing my temper at that poor coursemate :P

  i am in no position whatsoever to judge recent happenings but am inclined to believe that you are the better person out of this... martian's right. you should enjoy the time you have left with the people that matter and ignore those who obviously do not give you due credit or who take your friendship for granted.

  anyway, i wanted to say, i am sad that you are leaving to the USA so soon because i have barely gotten a chance to know you (or rather, you know me :P ) and all this while, we have probably been crossing paths because i live in Bangsar and go to school in Mont Kiara and know the starbucks you talk about, and the Nero Vivo in KL and.. so on. :P
  
  Nonetheless, i'm really glad prioritising is working for you *hugs* i have yet to truly embrace that - i find myself still sacrificing too much effort and time on silly things when i should be concentrating on others!
